School Handbooks
The last full version of the Parent Handbook was printed and distributed during the 2005-2006 school year. As subsequent revisions were made, 'remove and replace' packets were distributed to parents.
Updates to the Handbook, August 2010
Uniform Code (Section 2000) was updated. Please review section for specific updates.
Updates to the Handbook, September 2009
- Section 1660: Students are not permitted to keep medications, vitamins, herbal supplements, or energy drinks in the classroom, their locker, their backpack, or on their person.
- Section 2390.2: Skirt and skort length may be no shorter than four (4) inches from the top of the knee when a student is in a kneeling position.
- 2390.3: Skirt and skort lengths may be checked by teachers and administrators.
- 2160.3: Hems on the sweatpants may not be torn, cut or loosened. Hemming must be done in a professional looking manner.
- 2160.4: Serra After School Sports uniform shorts (Football, Basketball, and Lacrosse) may only be worn during the appropriate sport season and on game days. After school sports uniform pieces may not be worn in replacement of PE clothing except on game days.
- 2160.5: PE uniforms may not be altered or defaced in a manner that is disrespectful to the school.
- Section 8000: Discipline, Suspension and Expulsion (Code of Conduct) was revised and distributed as a separate packet.
