SERRA CATHOLIC SCHOOL NEW FAMILY 2010-2011 ADMISSIONS FOR GRADES Jr. K through 8th Serra Catholic School, a Blue Ribbon designated school, would like to welcome all interested prospective families to our Meet and Greet which will be held on January 14th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Serra Catholic School. The Meet and Greet will be held in Serra’s Student Activity Center. This is an informal opportunity for prospective families to meet our Principal, as well as other staff members. This past summer, we were blessed with the completion of the Middle School Education Complex and Student Activity Center. Our middle school students are now in our new middle school building and all students have the opportunity to participate in various activities in our Student Activity Center. Our Primary Education Building, which was completed several years ago, accommodates our Jr. Kindergarten through 5th grade students. The 2010-2011 applications will be available at the Meet and Greet on January 14th. Children are welcome to attend the Meet and Greets! Beginning on January 15th, if you were unable to attend the Meet and Greet, you may either pick up an application at Serra Catholic School (between 9AM and 2PM) or download an application from our website. Serra Catholic School is located at 23652 Antonio Parkway in Rancho Santa Margarita. · The completed applications are due back to Serra Catholic by Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Please attach all requested information when the application is submitted back to Serra’s Admissions office. · A General Information Meeting for Interested Families (GradesJK-8) will be held on January 27 from 6:30-8PM at Serra Catholic School in our Student Activity Center. A variety of information will be discussed including Serra’s philosophy on education, and parental commitment. Please note that the Parent Information Meeting is a parent only meeting. Only one parent needs to attend the meeting. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR JR. KINDERGARTEN APPLICANTS TO SERRA: ü New Incoming Jr. Kindergarten applicants MUST be 5 years old by December 1, 2010. ü All incoming Jr. Kindergarten students will need to be screened for Jr. Kindergarten developmental readiness prior to formal acceptance. Jr. Kindergarten applicants must be assessed through Chancy and Bruce Educational Resources. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR KINDERGARTEN APPLICANTS TO SERRA: ü New Incoming Kindergarten applicants should be 5 years old by September 1, 2010. ü All incoming Kindergarten students will need to be screened for Kindergarten developmental readiness prior to formal acceptance. Kindergarten applicants must be assessed by our faculty at Serra.. Kindergarten screening appointments are required and will begin scheduling appointments at the January 20th meeting.
